Upcoming Events

There are a couple of events in the Washington, DC area in the next few weeks, as well as a few others closer to folks in the Boston.

18 April is the annual reenactment of Battle Road outside of Boston. This event commemorates the battles of Lexington and Concord, including the “shot heard round the world”. 4th Coy had heavy participation in the 225th anniversary of this event, and a few members are making the trip up to Massachusetts to participate in this year’s event, where they will be joining with the 1st Foot Guards.

25 – 26 April is a new event to the 4th Coy calendar at Mount Vernon. Specific details are being worked out, but this event will reenact the British raids along the Potomac river, including 4th Coy landing on the shores of the Potomac from boats. The main event will take place early each afternoon, but members will be on hand for the entire day.

2 May is another new event to the 4th Coy calendar at Carlyle House in Old Town Alexandria, VA. Additional details were announced in an earlier post.

16 – 17 May is one of the big events of the year at Jerusalem Mills outside of Baltimore, MD. A smaller event was held on here last summer and the site offers great promise for this year’s event. Plenty of open spaces with a bare minimum of 21st century intrusions. Jerusalem Mills has a website up that contains additional details about the location and the event, including a schedule.

The next month promises to be a busy one for 4th Coy, so please take the opportunity to see the company in action!
