2011 Under the Redcoat was a typically hot affair, with temperatures hitting the 90′s, and red wool coats did nothing to help the comfort. Like past years, 4th Coy participated in the Friday afternoon “taking of the town”, involving a march in to the city wearing grubby clothing and appearing to be completing a long march. The afternoon was spent guarding the Market square and ensuring that no Colonial soldiers might make an appearance.

Saturday and Sunday were spent posting guard at various locations in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. In a bit of an upset, 4th Coy was unable to field the required number of muskets to defend the firing competition championship. It was with heavy heart that the distinctive red flashes were handed to the town Serjant Major, and then on to this year’s deserving champions.
