For the first time, 4th Coy made an appearance at the Carlyle House in Old Town Alexandria. John Carlyle was a prominent citizen of Alexandria and his home was used to host a convention of colonial governors during the Seven Years War (sometimes known as the French and Indian War) to discuss the funding of the Crown efforts in the colonies. The meeting was called by General Braddock, a Coldstream officer, hence the connection to the Guards.
